Christmas with the Christensens

June and Dallis spent Christmas Eve with Ray and Linda and Christmas morning at the Zurcher's. They opened presents and had breakfast with the family. Thursday, December 27, was the annual family Christmas dinner. After having a conference call with Janet and all other siblings about the needs of June and Dallis, the dinner was at Koyo restaurant. Grandpa treated everyone! We then went to Grandma and Grandpa's house, opened gifts and had a great time.

Just a reminder about meals:
Monday and Friday lunch—Linda
Tuesday dinner—Dallis & Carolyn
Wednesday dinner—Zurchers
Thursday dinner—Kris & John
This will start Wednesday, January 2nd. If you can't do your day, make sure you call and get a substitute ahead of time if possible. If not, then make sure Mom and Dad are notified that you will not be there, as they will be depending on and looking forward to your visit. Also remember to eat with them rather than drop off the food since they need the company as well as the nutrition.

Dec. 30th- We did not take Mother and Dad to the Sat. movie and lunch. Mother actually called us and said she didn't feel she could go because of diarhea. That is the frist time since moving into the new house that she has actually called me on the phone. It was great to talk to her and be able to hear her so well. We re-scheduled to take them on Tuesday, Jan 1st since Ray has to work on Monday Dec. 31st. We are planning to hit an early show before noon and then have lunch. I am planning to have lunch with them on Monday as scheduled. Thanks to Megan and Cheryl for the blog--it is great and I love the pictures! Linda

December 31,
I want to thank all of you for including me in the phone call about Mom and Dad. I really wish I was closer so that I could help, but you all have already heard that a hundred times. I am sure that this influx of new energy towards Mom and Dad will go a long way in keeping them healthy and in their own home for a longer period of time. Love to all of you from the East Coast and Happy New Year!
